WATERWOLF ELECTRIC SURFBOARD

Price: $10,300
Everybody is claiming after CES 2013 that the biggest industry that is open for innovation is clothing and wearable technology. We love the current trend of smart watches and combining technology into one convenient small package but we want to make the claim of a different industry open for innovation: water sports. Boats haven’t really evolved a ton lately and are basically limited to adding bells and whistles but not really looking at the boat and saying, “how can we improve that?”. We all know that jet-ski’s and wave runners are a blast to ride but there really hasn’t been much change in them since the 90′s when they blew up. They might go faster and be a smoother ride but aside from that, not much has changed. We could talk about canoes but who really wants to work that hard to get across water when they should just get something with a motor? We prefer to avoid any physical labor when possible which is why we feel that there needs to be a revolution in water vehicles.
Cue the Waterwolf which is an awesome looking electronic surfboard. That means that those of us living in the midwest that are unable to get to the ocean on a regular basis and have to resolve to the Lake of the Ozarks for our water getaways will actually be able to enjoy a surfboard. The Waterwolf is an electronic surfboard that can go up to 18 to 22 mph and is solely run off electricity. It also can get roughly to 30 minutes of run time on a single charge and is powered by a propeller. You have the controller along with a sensor that will shut the board down when you try pulling a dumb stunt and fall off. The main downside to Waterwolf is that it appears to not be available in the US quite yet. The fact that it’s electric should be enough of an appeal to everybody that might have reservations about it coming to the US. Via Gadgets4Guys

ELECTRIC LUN LANTERN

Price: $61.00
There is something that we have all lost as electronics and regular human comforts have become the standard. We cannot go anywhere without a phone on our hip and avoid places that don’t have central air conditioning. If the bed we’re sleeping on isn’t a Serta that supports our “bad back” then we want nothing to do with it. If our water isn’t triple filtered or comes in a fancy bottle costing $8 a pop, then you can keep your sewer water. If the food we are eating doesn’t have a five star rating or have Wolfgang Puck cooking it then you can take your beef jerky somewhere else. If you refuse use a restroom that doesn’t have a privacy door, running water, and doesn’t require you to walk through the woods to get to it, then most of the modern men will turn it down. Gadgets 4 Guys demands that modern men tune into their great grand pappy and learn how to rough it once again. Live off the land and take showers in rivers will build a mans character and take away the prissiness that modern comforts have given us.
LUN Lantern Pic1After you get done growing a beard and decide it is time for you to go camping (that’s what we were hinting at above by the way) you will need items to get you through the nights. After the right kind of tent is selected, you will need a lantern. You don’t need a beacon that will shine for miles but enough for you to see the trails at night which is why we propose the electric LUN Lantern. You get some serious time off of one charge and you don’t have to rely on flammable fuel to power it. If you decide that you still don’t want to channel your real man, we recommend still getting the LUN Lantern for the upcoming summer months. If you sit on a patio and don’t want a giant flood light streaming across the lawn (attracting every bug around) try the LUN Lantern. We got a hands on with the LUN Lantern and were impressed with the light it was able to put off and how it actually looks like a real flame. Most of the flame-less candles we have seen look as fake as the special effects in Sharknado but the LUN Lantern was pleasantly realistic. Via Gadgets4Guys

LUN PODS – ELECTRIC CANDLES

Price: $62.00
Gadgets 4 Guys is here to tell you how to complete a romantic night with your significant other. The first part of the night needs to start with dinner and we recommend making something nice which doesn’t include Ramen Noodles. The second part is creating an amazing ambiance through the right selection of music. Your first reaction will be to select either Five Finger Death Punch or Black Eyed Peas but both of those options are terrible. You don’t need to bring yourself to the level of playing Jack Johnson or Dave Matthews but we do recommend going a little lighter.
LUN Pods electric candles pic2The other important part of creating the perfect date night is candlelight. If you get regular candles you run the risk of burning your house down. If your hairspray covered blonde locks touch that open flame, you will look like Michael Jackson as you run screaming from the bedroom. You could try to be careful but we recommend just getting the LUN Pods. LUN Pods are electric candles that have an amazing design to them. The glass around the electronic part of the candle is frosted which gives it a very modern and up to date look and feel. Gadgets 4 Guys was able to get a hold of the LUN Pods to try out and we were really impressed. You charge them up for a bit and they run for a solid 10 hours. You let the candles go until they’re completely out of juice and then simply plug them back in. The LUN Pods look realistic and not cheap at all which is refreshing when it comes to an electric candle. The LUN Pods should be the last aspect to a romantic evening or an amazing night out on the patio. We actually set them across our mantle at home and they gave off a soft enough glow that it didn’t reflect off of our TV but made our living room a bit more cozy. Via Gadgets4Guys

TOPO DESIGNS DUFFEL BAG

Price: $129.00
How does a man travel? This question has puzzled women for years and they don’t understand how we are able to approach travel with such a minimal amount of necessities. A man looks at the weather of the destination they’re going to and will select the exact amount of clothes out for the exact amount of days. Men don’t have backup outfits or certain clothes for certain situations because we don’t see the need in that. We also don’t like the idea of carrying extra clothes around because that will just weigh us down in the airport. We also carry minimal amounts of bathroom needs: toothbrush, toothpaste, possibly some hair gel, and maybe some back up toilet paper (if we’re going to a place that might not have any). The other important thing about men and travel is we actually hate to carry any kind of actual luggage. If our wives get us matching luggage we actually cry on the inside a little bit every time we have to pack for a trip. The manly way to travel is to throw your stuff in a duffel bag.
Topo duffle bag pic 2A good duffel bag will last for years and allow you to travel while maintaining your man card. As an adult, you need to ditch the duffel bag that you managed to get for free when buying that one bottle of cologne that probably smells like college. Topo Designs is based in Colorado and have created one of the best duffel bags we’ve seen. They were nice enough to send us a demo of their 24″ Duffel and instantly became a fan of Topo Designs. When you first pick up the duffel, the first thing you will notice is the high quality leather handle that you use to pick up the bag. The Duffel comes in three different designs which are black, orange, and duck camo so you can find a design that matches best with you. We recommend the orange because it pops and if you have to check the duffel bag, you will actually be able to see your bag from a mile away (and not have to pick up 20 of the same Samsonite bags trying to find yours). The duffel has the handles built in but also comes with the attachable shoulder strap if you prefer that (we did). Inside of the Duffel you have a couple of different zipper pockets to place the items you need to make sure stays separate from the rest of your clothes which was a nice option too.Topo Bag Pic 1
Topo Designs has managed to create a duffel bag that is a really high quality bag. We could go into the details about the material but this Duffel was nice enough you could just tell it was high quality when you picked it up. They have a lot of other cool pieces that you should check out too. Via Gadgets4Guys

SNORE ACTIVATED NUDGING PILLOW

Price: $149.95
Divorce rates are at an all time high and there are a lot of reasons behind it. Money is always claimed as one of the top reasons for divorce and fighting over how that money is spent, etc. can tear a couple apart. There could be a lot of other reasons though like one spouse not understanding an obsession with sports or the other not seeing how their partner could actually watch Real Housewives. Divorces can occur from the man forgetting to put the toilet seat down (there have probably even been a few murders based solely on that reason). There has probably been a few relationships that have fallen apart because one person has just become bored in the relationship. All of those reasons are probably real and occur on a regular basis but there is one thing that can destroy your marriage quicker than anything and that is snoring. People require a certain amount of time to sleep and when your spouse snores, your nights consist of broken sleep and punching them in the side to have them stop. Going to sleep becomes a race and when you lose that race, you are actually tempted to place a pillow over the face of your snoring spouse.
If snoring is an issue then you should drop those silly nose strips and look at the Hammacher Schlemmer Snore Activated Nudging Pillow. The name describes exactly what this pillow does which “listens” for your snoring to begin and gently nudges you through the pillow to stop you from continuing to snore. The simple nudge will cause you to readjust your sleeping position into one that will hopefully not cause you to snore. It also helps because your spouse will not have their dreams haunted by your terrible snoring because this will not let the snoring carry on for very long. We don’t know how healthy this is to your sleep cycle but it might save your relationship. Via Gadgets4Guys

Magnus: Minimal iPad Stand

If you’re looking for an iPad stand, you face a plethora of options and possible features. Will you be using the stand to hold the iPad for FaceTime and video viewing, or will you just be surfing and typing? Do you need to be able to prop up the iPad in both portrait and landscape orientations, or will one or the other suffice? Is one position enough, or do you need a stand that adjusts to multiple angles? Do you need a stand that will accommodate an iPad in a bulky case?
But perhaps the most important characteristic of an iPad stand is whether it’s made to stay on your desk or to be carried with you

The Magnus by Ten One Design is attractive, minimal and it's got a small footprint and it's made of the most desirable materials available. It anchors firmly to the design while getting your tablet upright and out in front of you of you at just the right angle and height.
Magnus works beautifully with unfettered iPads (2, 3, 4) and retails for $39.99 here

M.Clip: The World's Finest Money Clip

Wallets seem out of date now. I realize there’s a romanticism associated with all things vintage, but I don’t think wallets fit into this paradigm. Wallets have surpassed their usefulness. Kind of like hackneys, flip phones, Tang, Reebok pumps and schooners. Here’s why you don’t need a wallet:
  • We live in a digital world. Implanted chips are just around the corner. Leave your house with some cash, an ID and a credit card.
  • You have a smart phone. Family photos of your precious kids? On your phone. Business cards? On your phone. Receipts? In your email.
  • Loose change? Please donate.
Why you need a money clip:
  • It’s simple, light weight and minimal. It’s 2014, we’re supposed to be in flying cars.
  • It requires simplicity and therefore thought into what you carry. You’re not a hoarder are you?
  • The right money clip becomes an additional fashion accessory. The same could be said for wallets, but I’m anti-wallets, so you know my thoughts.

  • Today, we are reviewing the M-Clip .It's one of the most popular line of money clips. Made from durable stainless steel component parts, carbon fiber and enamel inlays.
  • The great thing with the M-Clip is that they are handmade and you can personalize them initials or logos to create the best gift.
The M-Clip starts from $69.95 here

LIGHT UP IPHONE CASE BY SPARKBEATS

Price: $37
Your phone says a lot about you as a person. If you are walking around with a busted screen, you are likely broke or so cheap that you’re fine only being able to answer the phone for 6 months (and then that two year agreement is over). If you have bling all over your phone we hope that you’re either a girl or.. actually only girls are allowed to have bling on their phone case. If you have a giant otter box phone case that doubles the size of your phone, you either work in construction or are a walking tornado that requires an indestructible phone case. Finally, if you have a flip phone still to this day, that would tell us you might be technologically challenged. It is time to get with the rest of us in the modern day.
We stumbled across a KickStarter campaign for an iPhone case that really makes your phone unique. Sparkbeats has created a case that utilizes the flash from your camera. For those of you that might not know, there is actually an option within the iPhone to have your flash go off every time you receive a notification. It basically looks like you have a rave going on in your jean pockets but Sparkbeats has figured out how to use this feature to create an awesome phone case. Each time you receive a notification the case will light up and will actually vary between the type of notification (i.e. phone calls compared to text messages). The thing we like about Sparkbeats is that they took a mature approach to the design so you won’t feel like you have a Hello Kitty phone case at work. You do enough embarrassing things in the workplace and you don’t need your phone to add to it. The other cool thing about the Sparkbeat case is that it actually looks good even when it doesn’t light up. Click here for image source and to support their KickStarter campaign.

SWAY – ELECTRONIC THREE WHEELER

Price: $8,000
Men have to make very important decisions when they look at the vehicle they’re going to get. Each vehicle tells a story about the driver. If you drive a Mazda Miata (convertible) then you probably enjoy musicals and interior decorating. If you are rolling around in a Prius, you constantly think about the environment and we guess a vegan. If you drive a truck, we’re going to ask that you turn down that Toby Keith song and continue to read on. The men that are driving a minivan are probably rethinking their life and where things went wrong (while trying to justify that a minivan “really does make sense if you have kids”). If you drive a Hummer then just exit out of this website now. If you drive a V6 white Camaro, we will guess that your name is Star and you work at the local gentlemen’s club (and not a man at all).
We make a lot of bold claims and assumptions based on a vehicle but we have no idea on how to classify drivers of the Sway. Sway is three wheeled electronic vehicle that has a range of 40 miles in distance if you purchase the Lithium version. You actually lean and sway (hint) to make moves in the vehicle similar to a motorcycle or moped. The advantage is the Sway is so unique that it is a bit more in control than a motorcycle and looks way more awesome than a moped. Even though Sway is electronic, it can reach a very impressive 60 mph and really get up and go. The three wheeler takes about 3.5 hours to recharge which isn’t much if you use this as a commuter to and from work. It weighs 220 lbs which isn’t much heavier than carrying your buddy when he can’t walk. Check out Sway and get rid of that Volkswagen Beetle because we all know how what that says about you. Click here for image source and where to buy.

YELLOW JACKET IPHONE STUN GUN CASE

Price: $150
There are a lot of crazy people out there and we need to defend ourselves from them. The weird guy that always wears a speedo at the neighborhood pool and isn’t even European. The dude at the gas station that always calls you by your first name and talks to you like your best friend as he picks his nose. We can’t forget the awkward dude at the liquor store that always asks “where the party at tonight?” but then looks at you expecting to actually hear where you’re going. We can’t even begin to describe the level of creepiness that the old man at the tuxedo place who does the fittings and seems to always be a little too handsy. There was that period of time you had the personal trainer that had you do squats the entire session but just stood behind you and slowly nodded up and down. These are all memories we wish we could forget and times we wished we had some serious protection on us.
Cue our featured gadget today which is the Yellow Jacket iPhone Stun Gun Case which has a name that describes its functionality. Yellow Jacket is a phone case that wraps around your iPhone and has two prongs on the top. There are two safety’s that can prevent accidental discharges of the high voltage stun gun that is on top of the case. I was actually surprised with how small the case was that still packed a good enough punch to actually get some electricity going to power the stun gun. The case doesn’t look like it is much more bulkier than a standard Otter Box which means you can carry this bad boy just about anywhere without anybody knowing the better. Check out the Yellow Jacket Stun Gun and make sure you know how to operate it because there is nothing sadder than stun gunning yourself. Click here for image source and where to buy.

SANITIZE YOUR PHONE WITH PHONESOAP CHARGER

Price: $50
We took a quick poll in the office to see what terrible things we have dropped our phone into or had spilled on. There was the usual suspects like spilling coffee or coke on the phone and being stuck with a sticky screen for the rest of days. The stories began to get darker and ranged to a person dropping their phone into a toilet BEFORE it had been flushed which meant their phone was beyond disgusting. Fortunately, (or unfortunately) the phone still worked so they had to carry around a phone that was covered in a material most janitors wouldn’t go near. If you have ever purchased a used phone from Craigslist or eBay, you need to think about these horror stories before you place that phone receiver up to your face and accidentally brush your mouth across the screen. Now that we have painted a terrible visual of the disgusting germs crawling all over your phone, we have managed to find a solution for you.
The PhoneSoap Charger is a UV cell phone sanitizer that gets rid of the evil things that go bump on your phone. PhoneSoap doesn’t use soap or water but instead utilizes UV rays to completely go around the phone and destroy any of the germs you might have on the phone. The scary part of a lot of the viruses on the phone is that they have actually developed a resistance to a lot of the anti-bacterial sprays and liquids out there. The PhoneSoap Charger should still be able to get rid of those superviruses because it uses the UV rays to clean. Simply place the phone into the container and let the PhoneSoap Charger take care of the rest. The Charger was designed to fit just about any smart phone out there so you should be able to fit even the larger phablets into the germ destroyer. Click here for image source and where to buy.

IPHONE 5 / 5S WOODEN CASE

Price: $21.40
There is nothing more frustrating than going out and purchasing a beautiful iPhone that costs an arm and a leg. You look at the beautiful box it comes in and slowly open it to pull out one of the most beautifully designed phones out there. As you begin to download the latest apps (we’re guessing it’s Candy Crush) you realize that you do not want to hurt your new baby. You add a screen protector, then add an over-sized case to make sure you don’t hurt the phone. Before you know it, the phone now weighs 5 pounds and is bulkier than the Zach Morris brick phone from the 90′s. The other downside is the beauty of the iPhone is lost along with all of the hard work of Jony Ive and Steve Jobs has been lost. There are some creative cases that look good but nothing close to the original design of the phone and aren’t usually made to impress people.
We managed to find a great case that doesn’t add to much bulk but is eye catching enough to use on the beautiful iPhone 5 and 5s. The company used walnut wood and designed a minimalist case that is definitely eye catching. They also include the Apple monogram on the case which carries over some of the original design and brings it through the wood. The case is hand made which means a lot of effort is put into each case made and ships worldwide. The nice thing about the case being made from natural wood will ensure that no phone case is exactly the same which is something nobody can typically claim. The wooden case is built strong enough to protect from scratches and shocks from dropping it. The inside of the case has nylon fabric which acts like a pretty little pillow that your iPhone can rest it’s pretty head on. Click here for image source and where to buy.

Custom SLR Glide One: The Ultimate Camera Strap

If you are like me, then chances are, you find yourself constantly detaching and reattaching your camera strap. When I’m shooting long exposure shots in a breeze, I don’t want the strap whipping in the wind.

Removing the strap while not rocket science, can be a bit time consuming, and I am the type of photographer that finds myself in ever changing situations where adding and removing the strap is not always the best use of time.

The guys from Custom SLR mailed me the Glide One Camera Strap System and I must say that I was very impressed with the quality and design of this new product.

After using this strap for a few days now I don’t even want to look at anything else on the market. The quality is beyond amazing and I'm not afraid about dropping my Nikon D5100 on my side. The great thing with the step is that its easily adjustable and long enough for wearing it on the top of a winter jacket.

This Custom SLR Glide strap combined with the Custom SLR C-loop was the answer to all of my problems. Not only is it comfortable but it puts the camera at an easy to reach spot without being in the way. I was used to having to hold my camera for long periods of time because I did not like the short factory provided neck strap that came with my camera. Now everything is a breeze. Just slip the strap on, make sure everything is tight, and off I go. No more tired wrists or camera getting bounced around or bumped.

The C-Loop can be used by itself, without the M-Plate Pro or Glide Strap. It is meant to be an attachement point for a sling or neck strap, even the one that came with your camera.

The idea is, if the connection point is on the bottom of the camera, then it is easier to bring into action and keep out of the way when shooting. This unit also swivels so gear can be carried in a different fashion (think of using the C-Loop on the collar mounting point for a 70-200mm lens and letting the lens lay sideways).

The Glide One Strap System is priced at $64,95 ... worth every penny!

Rhino Shield: The Impact Resistant Screen Protector

Rhino Shield was successfully funded on Kickstarter back in March, and I imagine it was thanks in no small part to the fascinating drop test video that accompanied the fundraising campaign. In the video, the creators bash on Rhino Shield-equipped iPhones (one of several smartphones and tablets the screen protector supports) with dangerous objects such as a knife, a hammer, a cup full of nails and a 255 gram steel ball. Rhino Shield handily withstood every test.

The guys from Evolutive Labs mailed us a testing kit, so we can try it out and see how the Rhino Shield is strong. Included in the kit: 2 pieces of Gorilla Glass 2, 2 Rhino Shield screen protectors, a block of granite, a ball of steel and a 6 inches tower ( where we can drop the steel ball from ).

Test number 1: We've dropped the steel ball onto the unprotected piece of the glass, which broke the glass instantly. ( Thank God it wasn't a real iPhone )

Test number 2: The Rhino Shield screen protector was applied to the 2nd piece of glass and when the steel ball fell from the top of the tower, the glass did not break. In fact, it didn't show any scratch...Impressive

I have been using my iPhone 5 with the Rhino Shield for about a week now, and the best compliment I can give the accessory is that I had nearly forgotten it was covering my screen. After installing the Rhino Shield and replacing my case, I haven’t once had any trouble using the touchscreen or fighting off annoying bubbles.

If you do decide to purchase the Rhino Shield screen protector you will be happy to know that it has at least 5 times the impact energy of Gorilla Glass 2 on its own thanks to the unique polymer technology.

Apple iPhone’s cost a lot of money and even though the screens are strong to take on a light drop or keys stroking next to the screen in your pocket or bag, they are still breakable. The Rhino Shield promises to give that extra protection, we would try anything out to protect something so valuable.

Price is starting at: $24.99

Bloki - The landscape dock for the iPhone

How many of you use your iPhone as a replacement for a bedside clock?
With all the dock applications in the app store, or even the built in clock app, it's an easy transition to make.

The only issue would be leaving the app running all through the night so that you can easily check the time if you wake up. Can you say dead battery?

Bloki has come to the rescue with a simple and minimalist product that solves the iPhone issue.

Franck Ergas, the creator of Bloki is looking for funding to finance the second run. The first production run is currently happening right now. They are currently working on the iPhone 4 version and are planning to create models for other smartphones like  (Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, and Note 3, Google Nexus 4 and 5) and tablets (iPad mini, Google Nexus 7).

This great dock got easily funded on Kickstarter.

ATLAS FITNESS TRACKER

Price: $160
America is fat. We love everything to be fried and served drizzled in chocolate. There aren’t many inventions greater than a hamburger with two donuts acting as buns. When Kentucky Fried Chicken came out with the Double Down by making a sandwich utilizing two hunks of fried chicken as buns and then stuffed the middle with bacon and cheese, we celebrated. We celebrated every bit of the 37 grams of fat that the sandwich brought us and then rejoiced when they created their Famous Bowls (basically a bowl of everything unhealthy with gravy poured over the top). We are the only nation that can watch a commercial for a new burger and hear the words “special sauce” and not even think twice about what it is actually made out of. If you ever go to the Texas State Fair, you will learn that anything and everything can be fried. We salute America for this ingenuity but it does mean we all have to work out twice as hard to eat things like that.
Wearable technology is all of the rage right now and we’re trying to turn everything into something that can read us our text messages. We are also trying to track our activity and have seen a gold rush of people getting into these fitness trackers. There is a new one that is on IndieGogo trying to raise money (it already beat it’s record) for the completion of it. The unique thing about Atlas is that it has developed a new way to track activities and can tell exactly the activities you are doing. They claim that Atlas can actually tell the difference between a sit up and a push up, even the difference between a normal push up and a triangle push up. This unique aspect is what makes us intrigued by the Atlas Fitness Tracker and are anxious to see it reach completion and onto the wrists of every fried food eating guy out there.Click here for image source and where to find out more about Atlas.

MOPHIE SPACE PACK – BUILT-IN BATTERY IPHONE CASE

Price: $150
I don’t think that we realize how much we all rely on our phone. The entire Gadgets 4 Guys staff cannot write a gadget review for men without the Adam Carolla Show playing on our phone and echoing words of wisdom throughout the office. Every man now relies on their phone as entertainment when they go to the toilet (we get some of our best work done in there). If it wasn’t for our phones we would have completely lost our social touch and not been able to see all of the stupid baby pictures people constantly post (we promise never to turn into “that guy”). The smartphone has become the modern day grown up version of a Game Boy for men but because it sends email, we feel no shame about playing Angry Birds for 12 straight hours. The problem we face now with our phones is that the battery typically runs out by noon and we don’t have any form of entertainment to fill the boring work hours. Mophie has set out to change that and created the Mophie Space Pack.
Mophie is the first rechargeable battery case that actually houses a built-in storage which is made for the iPhone 5s and 5. Our first reaction when we saw that they created another battery case was “big deal”. We took some time doing research and found out that the game changer with this phone case is the built-in storage that comes with the case. When you download the app that goes with the case, you’re able to juggle different files between the iPhone itself and the portable storage. That means if you’re running low on memory for all of those selfies you take, you can actually move those pictures over to the storage available in the Space Pack. The ability to seamlessly add another 32GB of memory to your iPhone can be very appealing for those with large song playlists or lots of inappropriate videos. Mophie was also able to make this case less bulky than a lot of the typical over-sized cases (Otter Box). We don’t know how this hadn’t been thought of before but we love having extra battery along with extra storage on our phone for when we get into a pinch and need either of the two. Click here for image source and where to buy Mophie Space Pack.

RAW INDUCTION PHONE CHARGER

Price: $495
If I had a nickel for every time one of my friends asked if I had an extra phone charger, I would have around $2.50. The point I’m trying to highlight is that nobody has a phone that is capable of making it through an entire day without needing to be charged. It isn’t a big surprise because of everything that we now do on our phone which can range from surfing the internet to answering emails, our phones have replaced our brains. It is probably better since a lot of the people out there didn’t have much going on in their brain anyways and a new Galaxy smartphone probably does better “thinking” then they ever could. So when you’re confronted by somebody in your own home that asks to use your charger (for some weird reason it feels a little violating by the way) you will no longer have to go upstairs and try to uncomfortably reach behind your nightstand to unplug your charger. Raw Induction uses the newest technology and is stylish enough you can have it setting out on any counter and charge phones without any wires at all.
Raw Induction uses Near Field Communications (NFC) which is a feature on many phones out there to charge your phone wirelessly. The concrete slab supports up to three devices being charged at once so you aren’t limited to just using one or the other ports but all three instead (if you need it). The product looks like it would be extremely heavy but the creators were able to trim the weight down to seven pounds so it can easily be moved around. They could have just kept the design limited with the concrete slab and been enough but they went the extra step by adding a blade of light. It helps to make Raw Induction look that much more appealing and let’s those that see it know there is something different about this slab of concrete.

Flybridge Dock

When I heard that a product called “Flybridge” was being launched on Kickstarter, I was interested in knowing how it would improve my experience. Well, to put it quite simply, it drastically changes the way I charge my device.

Whether you plan on upgrading to one of the new iPhones or iPods or you already have a device with a lightning cable, you don't have to buy a new dock if you've got an old one.

Flybridge created a little adapter that turns your old iPod 30-pin dock into a lightning-compatible one. Simply take your existing 30-pin dock and lightning adapter, connect them, then slide on the Flybridge adapter. This will make your dock actually hold your iPhone up rather than connect it with a lot of potential wobbling.

While this solution could be a bit cheaper, the Flybridge adapter saves you from buying an entirely new dock.

The Flybridge is retailed for $15 and can be purchased here
