Atlas Fitness Tracker: Another Great Player In Wearable Technology

Wearable technology is all of the rage right now and we’re trying to turn everything into something that can read us our text messages. We are also trying to track our activity and have seen a gold rush of people getting into these fitness trackers.

Atlas has taken IndieGoGo by storm! Asking for $125,000 in their crowdfunding campaign, they’ve blown way past that. With 16 days still left to go, they’re already at $486,000. So what has captured so many people’s attention?

The Atlas Fitness Tracker promises to track everything. This wrist-mounted device features an active display, a heart rate monitor, x, y, and z axis tracking and advanced software. It knows what exercise you're doing, and can also give you feedback on whether you're cheating or using proper form. It's waterproof, so it can also track swimming exercises, and knows the difference between breaststroke, freestyle, and everything else. In addition, it can actually learn new exercises, so whether you're training at your local gym of lifting boulders and swinging swords in the wilderness, it can adapt.

You can support the IndieGoGo campaign for $189 as an early bird. They expect to ship in December 2014.
