TapTap – A Touching Wristband

How many people have you run into that have been in a long distance relationship that actually worked? We’re expecting that there area lot of crickets out there because there are so many hurdles that have to be cleared for a long distance relationship to work. We have things like Skype and Facetime that can help make that long distance feel a lot less but it usually requires a set aside time for both parties to work. Can we be honest (which is code for “We’re about to say something rude”)? Long distance relationships are stupid. They rarely work and are incredibly inconvenient.

So why would we feature TapTap that appears to be the perfect gift for people that are in a long distance relationship? You’re thinking too small if you think that this wristband that allows you to simply touch it and the other band receives a vibration letting that person know you’re thinking about them is all that it is for. How many times do you text with your significant other? While regular communication is great, taking out your phone and stopping all work you’re doing just to send “lol” to your wife can be frustrating. Instead of having to text and throw of your workday, you could simply touch the TapTap wristband and let your significant other know that you’re thinking about them. The other advantages of TapTap is that they are welcoming third party developers to create other functions for TapTap like activity trackers and other items.

TapTap also did a great job of allowing different types of touches (waiting for them to create a “bad touch”) to get your partners attention. The TapTap is a KickStarter campaign which also means you will be helping out a new business and fund creativity. Click here for image source and where to contribute to their campaign.
