It’s got a large graphical display, four weight sensors and bioelectrical impedance sensors, and it could find its way under your Christmas tree - does it deserve it though? Cocoon SLIM 15'' Backpack : The Geek' Best Friend

I travel a lot and since I am a compulsive geek, I am well equipped with accessories, gadgets and other cables in my bag or backpack.  There are a lot of backpacks on the market which are "geek friendly", but most don’t have a lot of storage space for small objects. We end up putting all our stuff in a pouch and it gets hard to find what we are looking for.

The Cocoon Slim Backpack ( retailed at $ 80) has been designed to tackle this problem with a space dedicated to all the small objects. Thanks to the patent pending organization system Grid-It® , you have endless configurations for your devices. It has a special compartment to accommodate a laptop up to 15 inches, power supplies, notebooks, pens, iPad, NOOK or Kindle, iPhone/cell phone, or most other small electronics. The other side keeps your files and folders (fits both A4 and U.S. Standard) neat and protected thanks to the water-resistant ballistic nylon and waterproof zippers. Not bad at all!

We spend an average of $100 for a regular backpack, why not a smart backpack for cheap? Here

Phone+Book by KBme2: Combining analog and digital process

image.jpeg

Choosing a case is as much about protection as it is about style. And if you want to stand out from the rest, try the Phone+Book from designers at KBm2. The case itself is beautifully designed with a strong exterior as well as smooth paper texture on the inside.

The beautiful cover offers great protection for your phone and the strap is easy to slip off in order to open the book. The iPhone 5 is held snugly by the paper frame, barely thicker than the phone itself, which surprisingly keeps the phone firmly in place.

Combining a book with the phone means one less item to carry.

Book+Phone is a great product. It’s well made, with nice attention to details. I really take it everywhere I go, it's pretty strong and offers great protection for the iPhone and all the important information written inside., it’s personally my case of choice for daily use, replacing my iPad. In addition, you have up to 3 color choices. The Phone+Book is available here.

Ostrich Pillow: Power Nap Anywhere Anytime

A new unusual project has made its appearance on the famous crowdfunding website: Kickstarter. It's name: Ostrich Pillow, a comfortable cushion that protects you from the chaos of the outside world.

Ostrich Pillow is a cushion which will allow you to nap in any environment, public or private, with the utmost comfort. Ostrich Pillow protects the head from hard surfaces and the circular holes allow for breathing space. This isolates you in your fluffy cocoon away from noise or distraction and gives the ultimate sleeping experience.

According to its inventors, taking a short nap at the office can improve the productivity by 34%. Ostrich Pillow can also be used in the library, travelling on plane, bus, or in the subway.

The designers were seeking funds ($70,000), using KickStarter. To this day they have already exceeded their goal by an astonishing $125,000.
